Theatrical Choreographed Combat Class
Training students in safe sword and quarterstaff fighting technique
Sword Circle offers a program teaching the real historical techniques of Medieval/Renaissance combat in a controlled theatrical setting, from proper footwork and body mechanics/movements to efficiency over speed and dramatic details that make a stand-out impression. This class will cover both quarterstaff & single-handed swords. Quarterstaff training will help students learn the importance of two-handed weapons in close-quarter combat (i.e. spear, polearm, bayonet, half-swording, etc.). The single-hand sword, the safest and most common sword used in theatrical productions, will incorporate the skills and knowledge of how to use any/all single-handed sword (i.e. rapier, saber, cutlass, arming sword, etc.)
